Nano Brows, also known as Fluffy Strokes is the newest and most updated technique in the field of permanent makeup for eyebrows. This modern and advanced technique employs a single needle cartridge and is performed with the use of a tattoo machine. It has been gaining popularity in recent years due to its ability to produce natural-looking and longer-lasting results with less trauma to the skin.

Compared to the Microblading technique, which uses a blade to create hair-like strokes, Nano Brows causes less trauma to the skin, resulting in better retention and longer-lasting results. The needle in the Nano Brows technique pixelates the skin, creating small dots that resemble a powdery look. These dots are used to create very thin hair strokes that blend in with the natural brow hair, resulting in a very natural look. Many clients who have had both microblading and Nano Brows say that the retention with the Nano technique is amazing, and it is less painful and lasts longer until a touch-up is needed

The Nano Brows technique is particularly suitable for those who want to enhance the look of their brows without appearing fake or overly drawn in. It gives more precision and a defined look, making it a popular choice for those looking for a natural-looking enhancement to their brows. Additionally, Nano Brows is suitable for people with oily skin, who were previously only able to achieve a natural look with the Powder Ombre technique. Microblading, on the other hand, is typically only suitable for those with dry or young skin and may not hold up as well on oily or aged skin. In addition, microblading can cause scarring, which is not a concern with Nano Brows.

The Nano Brows technique is ideal for people suffering from Alopecia or the effects of chemotherapy. as it can create a natural-looking brow even in the absence of natural hair. It is a game-changer for those who want to improve the look of their brows while maintaining a natural look. Overall, Nano Brows is considered the future of permanent makeup and is the best technique for achieving precise, defined, and natural-looking eyebrows.

What is Microblading

Microblading is a popular technique in the field of semi-permanent makeup that is used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. It involves using a sterilized blade and pigment to create hair-like strokes in the brow line to create a natural-looking appearance. However, microblading is not suitable for those with oily skin, as the oil can break down the pigment and cause it to fade faster. Many experienced permanent makeup artists no longer offer microblading to their clients due to its poor retention.

However, microblading is not suitable for those with oily skin, as the oil can break down the pigment and cause it to fade faster.

An alternative technique called "nano" or "fluffy" strokes has recently gained popularity. This technique uses a single needle cartridge to create a pixelated, skeleton-like structure of hair rather than cutting the skin with a blade. While it is more difficult to master, it produces a more realistic and natural-looking result and has better retention and faster healing compared to microblading.

In addition to the aesthetic benefits, there are also some potential health risks associated with microblading. For example, if the blade is not properly sterilized or if the pigment is contaminated, there is a risk of infection. There have also been cases where scar tissue has formed as a result of the blade cutting the skin too deeply.

On the other hand, the fluffy stroke technique is generally considered to be safer and more comfortable for the client. It uses a single needle cartridge, which reduces the risk of infection and scarring. Additionally, the pixelated, skeleton-like structure of hair created by the needle cartridge looks more natural and realistic than the solid blocks of pigment used in traditional microblading.

As a permanent makeup artist, it is my responsibility to inform my clients about the different techniques available and help them choose the one that is most suitable for their skin, preferences, and lifestyle. Eyebrows are an important feature of a woman's face, and the right technique can make a significant difference in the overall appearance of the brows. I am planning to receive additional training in fluffy strokes in early 2023 with a reputable artist in Toronto. This will allow me to offer my clients the latest and most advanced techniques in the field of semi-permanent makeup.

Why Powder Ombré Brows last longer than Microblading?

Powder ombré brows are a type of semi-permanent makeup that is becoming increasingly popular due to their longer lasting results compared to microblading. Unlike microblading, which involves cutting into the skin with a blade and creating hair-like strokes with pigment, powder ombré brows are achieved by gently brushing the brow area with a needle or needles (cartridges) to create a powdery, makeup-like appearance.

that is becoming increasingly popular due to their longer lasting results compared to microblading. Unlike microblading, which involves cutting into the skin with a blade and creating hair-like strokes with pigment, powder ombré brows are achieved by gently brushing the brow area with a needle or needles (cartridges) to create a powdery, makeup-like appearance.

One of the main reasons why powder ombré brows last longer than microblading is because they do not involve cutting into the skin. This means that there is less scar tissue, which leads to a better healing result and a more lasting result overall. Powder ombré brows are suitable for people of all skin types and ages, including those with oily skin, which is not well-suited for microblading.

Oily skin can break down pigment faster and cause it to fade faster, leading to the need for more frequent touch-ups. In contrast, powder ombré brows are less likely to fade and require less maintenance. As a permanent makeup artist, it is important to consider the suitability of different techniques for each client and to be honest about the expected results. In addition to powder ombré and microblading, I have also trained in nano brows, which is a technique that I will discuss in more detail in a future blog post. Ultimately, the most important factor in achieving the best results is good communication between the artist and the client.

Lip tattoo, also known as lip permanent makeup or lip micropigmentation, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a handheld device to deposit pigment into the lips. The goal of lip tattoo is to enhance the natural shape and color of the lips, create the illusion of fullness, and define the lip border.

There are several different techniques used in lip tattoo, including traditional tattooing, microblading, and shading. Traditional tattooing involves the use of a tattoo machine to deposit pigment into the skin using needles. Microblading involves the use of a handheld tool with a fine needle to create hair-like strokes in the skin. Shading involves the use of a shading tool or needle to create a gradient of color in the skin.

Lip tattoo can be used to address a variety of concerns, including uneven lip shape, thin or fading lips, and loss of definition around the lip border. It can also be used to correct asymmetry or to add color to the lips. Some people choose lip tattoo as an alternative to daily lipstick application or to improve the appearance of their lips after chemotherapy or other medical treatments.

There are several factors to consider when deciding if lip tattoo is right for you. It is important to choose an experienced and reputable practitioner who follows proper safety protocols and uses high-quality pigments. It is also important to understand that lip tattoo is a semi-permanent procedure, and the results will fade over time. Touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the desired results.

Lip tattoo can be a convenient and effective way to enhance the appearance of the lips. However, it is not for everyone and it is important to carefully consider the potential risks and benefits before deciding to undergo the procedure. It is always a good idea to consult with a qualified professional and to do your own research to make an informed decision.
